At Staten Island Pediatric Dentistry, we are pleased to welcome children of all ages to our fun and friendly dental office. Dr. Michelle Flanigan and Dr. Yelena Lange are our board-certified pediatric dentists, and Dr. Sara Skurnick is our experienced orthodontist.

We offer high-quality pediatric dentistry, and our dental team looks forward to welcoming you.

Pediatric Dentistry in Staten Island, NY

We agree with the recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry to schedule your child’s first visit when the first baby tooth arrives or by age one.

As your child grows, we’ll perform preventive dental cleanings and exams every six months, check for cavities, and provide fillings, dental sealants, or any treatment needed to keep their smiles healthy. If they break a tooth or have a toothache, we also offer emergency dentistry and treat them as soon as possible.

Tooth Fillings and Cosmetic Dentistry

If your child gets a cavity, we use fillings made of composite resin to treat it. Composite fillings closely resemble natural tooth enamel that allows us to create an invisible repair.

Cosmetic dentistry for kids sounds unusual; however, not treating an aesthetic problem like a broken tooth affects a child’s self-esteem, especially when interacting with their peers. Using the same composite material we use for fillings, we can repair broken and chipped teeth so your child can smile confidently again.

State-of-the-Art Laser Dentistry

Dr. Michelle Flanigan and Dr. Yelena Lange are committed to staying on the leading edge of advances in dentistry. Using technology like dental lasers allows them to improve your child’s comfort during treatment and achieve more positive outcomes.

Using laser dentistry means fewer shots, less drilling, minimal bleeding, and faster recovery times. Because we can work efficiently with lasers, your child spends less time in the dental chair.

Traditional Braces and Invisalign Clear Braces

Straight teeth are healthy teeth regardless of age. Whether you have an older child who needs traditional braces to straighten their teeth, or you’d like to fix your own crooked teeth with Invisalign, orthodontic treatment will improve your smile and your oral health.

Dr. Sara Skurnick is our experienced orthodontist and would love to see your child to determine if they can benefit from braces.
